Helpful Pregnancy Nausea Remedies- 7 Tips

I have some helpful pregnancy nausea remedies because lets face it pregnancy nausea is no joke! It’s just something you always hear about, either from family or friends.

I never knew how severe it could be until I went through it. Its different for everyone some just feel nauseous and some do actually get sick. It can be tough!

For those that didn’t experience it during their pregnancy, I may be a tad jealous! It can be a little bit of a struggle. It interferes with your everyday life including work and when you want to relax at home.

Here are a few tips that can hopefully help you because I know how frustrating it can be!

Helpful Pregnancy Nausea Remedies- 7 Tips:

1. Drink Lots Of Water

I have been guilty of not drinking enough water through out the day(I find it can be a bit of a hassle!) When you are pregnant though it is very important to get your daily intake of water.

I noticed a huge difference when I would stay hydrated. Drinking enough water through out the day can definitely control the nausea you get during your pregnancy and it helps you feel over all healthier in general.

2. Eat Small Meals Throughout The Day

One of the tips I heard during my pregnancy was to eat small meals often throughout the day, instead of the typical three meals per day. Boy does it help!

This is because when your stomach is empty it can trigger your nausea. Try to snack in between your meals or just eat smaller portioned meals and more often. It will make a world of a difference!

3. Peppermint

This is my favorite method! Peppermint has a calming and numbing effect on your stomach. So of course this can work to your advantage to relieve your nausea.

Peppermint tea is a great option or if you are on the go some peppermint candies would work. It’s amazing when you can get relief and with peppermint it is very much possible!

4. Stay Away From Fragrant Foods

I know this can be hard but it is one of the best ways to help you during this time! Foods that usually smell amazing to you or typically are your favorites may trigger you to feel sick.

Try to make foods that are on the bland side as well as for the time being don’t go to too many restaurants. You never know what you will have a reaction to! My favorite foods I could not stand to be around in the early stages of my pregnancy.

5. Saltine Crackers

When your not feeling well these crackers are a go to. Whether you are sick with the flu or going though a stage of your pregnancy where it is impossible to keep your food down.

If you have a fear of vomiting anything you eat up, these crackers should be able to settle that stomach of yours. Eating these always helped me on my rough days. If you don’t have these laying around the house try to eat something similar.

6. Preggie Pops

Apparently these are great if you are feeling nauseous during your pregnancy. I never tried them because I found what worked for me at the time. These look similar to cough drops and are specifically made for pregnancy nausea.

I have heard nothing but good things about this product. They are available in many flavors Apple, Raspberry, Lemon, and Tangerine. They have many good reviews as well. Check them out!

7. Sea-Band Wristbands

If you have tried most options for your nausea and you are not having much luck, I would recommend giving these wristbands a try. They were originally made for sea sickness.

It works by applying pressure to a certain part of your wrist which tones down the nausea you are having. It’s a natural option and a definite must try!

Feeling nauseous is never fun but just remember it usually goes away for most after the first couple of months. Finding the right method to help you during this time is a huge relief. Hopefully one of these options will give you relief and you can focus on getting ready for your new bundle of joy!
