What Should You Expect During Pregnancy?

What should you expect during pregnancy? It is different for everyone but there are some common things to look out for. Good and bad but of course it is all worth it in the end!

Being pregnant is one of the most beautiful experiences a woman can go through. Unfortunately at times it might not feel so great!

It’s important to try and enjoy every possible moment possible because you will always look back at this time as a precious moment.

I have a couple tips and tricks to make it a smoother experience, as well as what you can expect during your pregnancy. Typically the end goal is always an “easy pregnancy” and it is attainable.

What To Expect In Pregnancy & How To Make It A Smooth Experience:

The Early Months

In the beginning you typically will be super tiered and not a normal tiered this tiered is different! With my first pregnancy I was nodding off mid day. I was falling asleep and I couldn’t help it!

My husband was looking at me like I was crazy but of course he understood and tried to help me when it was needed.

For this time its best to rest and not to over exert yourself. This stage doesn’t last too long. It will pass before you know it!

Morning Sickness

The next stage for most including me is pregnancy nausea. The worst part! (In my opinion) Now this can be mild or severe depending on the person.

Unfortunately, it was moderate for me. I was running to the bathroom maybe a month straight at the end of my first trimester.

A game changer for me was peppermint flavor anything, it really does help. Though to kick the nauseous feeling completely you’ll have to let it run it’s course (and usually it will.) You can do this!

The Second Trimester

Once you have entered the second trimester typically the nausea will go away, and now you are able to finally enjoy your pregnancy.

I loved this phase because your back to feeling normal again. You will start to see your belly grow and feel amazing at the same time.

Take advantage of this time! Go on any vacations you’ve been wanting to go on before your babies arrival.

Get as much done as possible for your babies nursery. It can be helpful to buy most of the necessities at this stage such as a crib, car seat, and stroller to get those items out of the way.

The Final Trimester

Next comes the third trimester. Almost go time! This of course is an exciting time because your baby is almost here. As much as it is exciting it can be exhausting, because now you are so far along.

Ask for help if its needed from your partner, family, or friends you might need an extra helping hand. It can be difficult to finish preparations for your baby by yourself and you shouldn’t have to!

At this point your body feels uncomfortable and being out of breath might be the new norm even with the smallest movements.

Its best to try and relax your body needs it in the third trimester. Take a lukewarm bath, treat yourself to a spa night, or get in some extra sleep (you will need all the sleep you can get soon!)

Enjoy these last couple of weeks. Your life will be turned upside down in the best possible way when your little one gets here.

Wishing you a happy and smooth pregnancy…you got this! 🖤
